Martin Wald

Martin Wald, November 5, 2023, of Media PA; survived by Barbara Wald (nee Frankel), daughters Leah Wald, Marcie Wald, son Adam Wald and grandsons Daniel Wald Zollman and Joshua Wald Zollman.

Marty was born in 1934 in Boston, MA., and attended Roxbury Memorial High School. He earned a scholarship to attend Harvard University, from where he graduated in 1955. He earned an M.B.A. from The Business School of the University of Chicago in 1957 and a J.D.  from the Law School of University of Chicago in 1964. He spent the bulk of his career at law firm of Schnader, Harrison, Segal and Lewis. His publications include “ERISA: A Comprehensive Guide” which he co-edited with David E. Kenty. Marty’s family were able to watch him argue a case before the Supreme Court in Washington D.C.  Marty met his goal of traveling to all 50 states. He enjoyed an eclectic collection of music and books, and treasured his time in the Coachella Valley in Palm Desert CA in his later years. Contributions in Martin’s Memory can be made to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line, with a notation “ Benevolent Care Fund” or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
