MARVIN, January 31, 2015, of Philadelphia, Pa. Adoring husband of Frances (nee Rosenberg). Father of Erica (Elliott Farber) and Mitchell (Isa) Welsch. Brother of Judy Shapiro. Also survived by two grandchildren Jared and Korey Welsch. Private services and interment will be held. During Marvin's lifelong service to the investment community he provided financial services to individual and corporate clients, served as President and Director of E. W. Smith Company through 3 mergers to Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. Chairman's Council, and Chairman and Governor of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. He also served on the Board of Directors on several charitable organizations. The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to Variety - The Children's Charity of Greater Philadelphia or The ADL
