Melvyn Barry "Butch" Siegel, born on July 19, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, peacefully passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 85 in Atlantic City, NJ. He served in the Air Force as a radio navigator. Butch was an innovative entrepreneur known for his sharp intellect, endearing personality, and persistence. He accomplished anything he set his mind on, from being a race car driver to a pilot. He founded various successful businesses, including the North Atlantic Lobster Company, the Fish Market Restaurant in Philadelphia, Marquest Corp., and Allscripts (now Veradigm), while also developing real estate and guiding his children in their professional pursuits. He was a devoted husband to Patricia Siegel (née Orleans) and a loving father to Arthur, Laurie, Andrew, and Ellie. Butch adored his grandchildren: Jake, Megan, James, Alek, Ana, Alexa, Madison, Justin, Marley, and Beau. He was preceded in death by his sister Lorna and his parents, Arthur and Ethel.
Butch was a very social person who loved spending time with family and the comradery of friends, while enjoying fishing trips on his boat the Sea Rambler, skiing, and traveling. Relatives and friends are invited to services, Monday, May 13, 2024, 12:00pm at Joseph Levine & Sons, 4737 E. Street Rd., Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed following burial and again on Tuesday at the residence of Jennifer and Andrew Siegel and again on Wednesday at the residence of Laurie and Peter, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.
