Michael Kabo

On September 25, 2024, Michael Kabo, beloved husband of Ellen (nee Rosen) for 47 wonderful years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was a devoted father to Jaime Palatnek (Todd), Scott Kabo (Kelly Nonemacher), and Drew Kabo (Jamie), and his greatest joy came from being a Pop-Pop to his beautiful grandchildren, Cooper, Alex, Leo, Rylee, and Lucas, who filled his heart with pride and happiness. He is also survived by his sister, Bonni Shinfeld (Jerry) and his mother in law, Roslyn “Cookie” Arnold. He is predeceased by his late parents, Rosalind and Harry Kabo. 

For over 50 years, Michael ran a successful multigenerational corporate travel agency, Get-a-way Travel. He touched the lives of so many with his professionalism and warmth. He was passionate about golf, music, and cherished every moment spent with family. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, September 27, at 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the National MS Society (www.nationalmssociety.org) or the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org).
