ROSEN
MICHÈLE (nee Guillotin)
Of Bal Harbor, FL and Bryn Mawr, PA passed away on July 29, 2017. Born in LeHavre, France, sister of the late Christian Guillotin, she was an antique dealer in Cannes on the French Riviera when she met the late Maurice M. Rosen in 1981. They married in 1983. Michèle became immediately involved in French and Ameri-can associations, and in 1989, she became president and board member of Alliance Francaise. Her involvement with Ecole Francaise Inter-nationale de Philadelphie (EFIP) began when Stanhope Browne, then Honorary Consul de France in Philadelphia, presented her with a challenge - to seek funds from within the city's French community for the purpose of opening a French and English bilingual school. In 2004, she was awarded the prestigious Palmes Academiques distinction from the French government for her work in education, culture, and arts. Michèle served on the boards of Hahnemann Hospital and Samuel Paley Early Learning Center. She also volunteered and offered sup-port on various committees, including The Institute of Cardiology at Presbyterian Hospital and the National Organization for Hearing Research (NOHR).
Michèle will be sadly missed by her stepchildren, Stewart, Sharon, Cindy, Frank, Robin, Maurisa, Rachel and Jordana, 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. In France, she is survived by a sister-in-law, nephews Eric and Philippe, stepdaughter Ariane Dandois, stepgranddaughter Ondine Rothschild, and stepgreat-granddaughter Elia Rothschild.
