MIRIAM "SIS". Beloved aunt, grand-aunt, "honorary" mother/ grandmother, and dear friend – passed away peacefully on March 19, 2012 at the age of 105.
She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 30, 1906 – six years before the Territory entered the Union. Sis graduated from Goucher College in 1928 and married the late Leonard ("Lennie") Belber in 1934. They spent their lives together in the Philadelphia area.
Sis loved to golf, fish, cook, and dance, and ran her own business well into her 90's. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 22 grand, 25 great grand, and 10 great great grand nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 29th, at 11:30 A.M., at the Abington Art Center.
