MIRIAM "MIMI" (nee Shapiro)

On January 4, 2019 at the age of 83 from complications of a head injury. A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, she graduated West Philly High School and attended Temple University, studying education. She enjoyed the arts, playing tennis, golf, and bridge. She loved spending time with her grandchildren whether in person or virtually as she embraced new technology. Devoted Wife of Alan. Beloved mother of Dr. Larry (Joanne) Elfman and Dr. Karen (Dr. Richard) Banner. Loving sister of Elaine Figarotta. Proud grandmother of Wesley, Corey, Hannah, Nicole, Lauren, Jack and Melissa. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Monday January 7, 1:00 P.M. at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Int. Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will return to the residence of Dr. Karen and Dr. Richard Banner. .
