Miriam Mandell

Miriam Mandell (Née Gibbons) June 29, 2026, of Philadelphia, PA. Miriam was a proud alumna of Saint Mary’s Academy (Class of 1955), and Chestnut Hill College (Class of 1961). Miriam was a dedicated philanthropist, she served on the Boards of The Mandell Foundation, The Franklin Institute, Chestnut Hill College, as well as various other boards in Nantucket, MA.

Miriam was the wife of the late Seymour “Sonny” Mandell; daughter of the late former Philadelphia Police Commissioner, Thomas Gibbons; sister of the late former Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer, Thomas Gibbons, Jr., Rosemary Stapleton, and Delores Wiseman. She is survived by her son, Brendan O’Neill; and many nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private
