Myer Raffel

Myer "Mike" Raffel, 90, of Harrisburg, formerly of Philadelphia, died on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.

He was a graduate of the William Penn High School, where he played football on the 1928 undefeated State Championship Team, and he was also a graduate of Temple University. He was a Veteran of World Warr II, serving with the Army Air Corps.

He was the husband of the late Lillian (Marcus), father of Sherry at the Elwyn Home in Media, PA; brother of Maurice and his wife Harriet of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., at the King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem, Bucks County, PA. Shiva will be observed in Harrisburg starting Sunday evening.

The family respectfully request that contributions in his memory be made to the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, 4000 LinglestownRoad, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
