BERMAN
NORMA (nee Sylk), professional model, TV personality, died Thursday Oct. 7, 2004 in Bryn Mawr. She was 73 and was a resident of Merion PA.
In the late 50's she began her modeling career with Hess Brothers, the Wanamaker stores and many specialty stores. Her expertise in this field extended to TV commercials for A&P and other Supermarket and Marketing Clubs, even an appearance on the Mike Douglas Show.
She was an avid artist with attendance; credentials and degrees earned at the Moore College of Art, the Wayne Art Center, and University of Pennsylvania. She was an avid painter and horticulturist but her major role in life was her children and grandchildren always devoting time at holidays.
Wife of Larry Berman. Mother of June (Peter) Olster, Cary Berman, Suzie (Edward) Weiss and the late Glenn Stuart Berman. Sister of Robert F. Sylk and Leonard Sylk. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to Services, Sunday Oct. 10, 2004 at 2 P.M. at Temple Adath Israel, 429 North Highland at Old Lancaster Avenue, Merion PA. Entombment Montefiore Cemetery. The family will return to the late residence; and respectfully request that contributions in her memory be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
