Phyllis (nee Nazimov) Vaniver

Phyllis Vaniver, age 85, passed away on November 29, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold, her daughter, Karen, her son-in-law, Steven, and her cousin, Shraga. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Andrea, her grandchildren, Sarah and Tyler, and her cousins, Francine, Jessica, Aidan, and Ari.

Phyllis grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Lincoln High School. She worked as an executive administrative assistant in the insurance industry and was a devoted wife and mother to her two daughters. She always strived to support their aspirations and to provide a welcoming home to their friends.

Following her retirement, Phyllis worked as a child care provider for many years. She also attended classes at Temple University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) and participated in the chorus there. Phyllis was an excellent cook and baker and a doting Bubbie. She enjoyed music and was a huge fan of the Bee Gees. She was often seen walking in the neighborhood and stopping here and there to chat with the neighbors who all enjoyed her company and vivacious personality. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to services on Thursday, December 5, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Joseph Levine & Sons, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Guests may begin arriving at 12:30 to pay their respects. Interment to follow immediately at Mt. Sharon Cemetery, 502 East Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Luncheon at 2:30 p.m. at Anthony’s Ristorante and Ballroom, 865 West Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
