Qiushi “Martin” Zhang of Blue Bell, PA passed away on January 12, 2024 at the age of 33. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 29, Martin courageously fought his illness and underwent treatment for 4 years. Since 2019, he has taught at Guanghua Chinese School in Blue Bell, PA.
Martin loved playing badminton, video games, and board games (sometimes too competitively). He was gifted at playing the piano and composing his own songs. Friends and family remember him as a lover of good food, traveling, snowboarding, anime, and sci-fi movies who always cracked jokes until the very end.
Born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China and moved to New Jersey, USA in 1999. Beloved husband of Haidie Liza Daraba (married in 2021), loving brother of Nina, cherished son of Zhongqi (Jason) and Shujuan (Susan). Predeceased by his grandparents and survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
