Rayfield A. Rosenberg

Surrounded by 3 generations of family, Rayfield A Rosenberg, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday night, July 24, 2016, at his home in Springfield. Ray was born July 12, 1924, in Chester, to Abraham and Rose [Rogers] Rosenberg. He was a 1941 graduate of Chester High School and a member of the National Honor Society. Ray found the love of his life and married Anne Burstein on September 18, 1949, in Chester, PA. He worked for many years at the Sun Oil refinery in Marcus Hook gradually advancing through all phases of the operation and into management. Ray truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends, raising a family, and spending time with his brothers and parents. Through considerate dedication to detail, Ray had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Heartbroken following the passing of Anne, his wife of 61 years in 2011, he now joins his wife Anne, brothers Herbert and Russell, and parents Abe and Rose in heaven. Ray is survived by his three children, David, Mark, and Lynn [Kelly] along with their spouses, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons, a nephew, and 3 nieces. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Ray are invited to the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue on Middletown Road in Media, PA for a memorial service at time on Wednesday, July 27. 2016, 11:00 a.m. to be followed by interment at Har Zion Cemetery in Collingdale, PA. Shiva will be for 3 nights at the former residence. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bayada Hospice or the American Heart Association. Arr: Joseph Levine & Sons
