RHEA O. SHILS, (nee Owrutzky) 78, wife of the late Milton R. Shils, died at home on Friday Jan. 14, 2005, surrounded by her family. Rhea lived a life filled with passions for teaching, children, Hadassah, Germantown Jewish Centre,her garden, cooking but most of all her loving family and dear friends. She inspired all of those in her midst and was inspired by everything and all who crossed her path. Rhea is survived by son Stuart M. Shils, daughter-in-law Pam Pittenger Shils, daughter, Judith Ann Shils; sister Myra Durlofsky, cherished grandchildren Nate, Erin and Gideon and adored family members and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Monday Jan. 17, 2005 at 12 noon at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SON, N. Broad St. above 71st Ave. Interment Haym Salomon Memorial Park. The family will return to the late residence and respectfully requests that contributions in her memory be made to the Germantown Jewish Centre, 400 West Ellet Street, Philadelphia, PA 19119 or to the Fox Chase Hospice, 333 Cottman Ave, Phila., PA 19111.
