RICHARD D., 50, of Indiana-polis, formerly of Elkins Park, died November 23, 2013, in Washington, D.C. He was born May 30, 1963 in Philadelphia, the son of Richard and Jill Pomerantz. Rich graduated from Cheltenham High School, earned a BA in Art History from the University of Pennsyl-vania and a M. Ed. from Boston University. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, playing chess, hiking and traveling with his family, reading, and writing. He was an avid fan of crossword puzzles, completing and creating them. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Karp, his son Jeremy, sister Abby Rothschild, and his parents. Services Wednesday November 27th, 11 A.M. at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL., 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Inter-ment at Roosevelt Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Arlington, VA.
