Robert Levin, Born March 28, 1939 in Brooklyn NY; passed peacefully on March 18, 2025 in his home in Downingtown, PA surrounded by his loving family; Robert, beloved husband of Joyce (nee Glazer); loving father of Stuart Levin (Deborah) and Darrin Levin; cherished grandfather of Benjamin, Samuel, Noah, and Owen.
Robert was a modern Renaissance man.
He possessed a legacy mastery of carpentry, home improvement and craftsmanship. His training as an electronics technician led him to hold an amateur radio operators license for many years, as well as having the opportunity at age 21 to set up a public address lectern for a then campaigning John F. Kennedy in 1960. His lifelong love of cuisine led to special skills in Asian cooking and he became a sought-after instructor for numerous continuing education classes for a variety of institutions. He was also an award winning photographer who specialized in both natural and still-life subjects, producing his works from a self-designed custom photo lab and dark room. In addition to creativity, Robert was also generous with his skills and abilities. He strongly believed in the value of service as long time member of the Boy Scouts of America, providing leadership through high adventure experiences, council camping programs and administration as Minisink District Commissioner in New York. And, his passion for the environment was extraordinary, as he exemplified and promoted responsible sportsmanship and conservation with his long affiliation with the Federation of Fly Fishers, including many well enjoyed excursions to all corners of the country.
His love, dedication, and wealth of knowledge lives on in those carrying his legacy.
