Rona Schnall

SCHNALL RONA December 28, 2020 in Austin, TX. Rona was born on December 26, 1962 in Philadelphia and grew up in Cheltenham, PA. She graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Rona was an accomplished journalist at a young age whose career was cut short when, because of a drunk driver, she suffered severe, life-altering injuries. Rona's tremendous desire, strength and fortitude motivated her. She moved to Texas, took advantage of the Austin scene, continued to write, and cheer on the Flyers and Phillies, living life to the fullest. Rona taught us that no matter how hard life can be, there is light. She was that light and now she lives on in all of us who loved her. She is survived by her mother Maxine Schnall Mitnick; her father Nathan Schnall; and her sister Ilene Schnall.
