Ronald H. Schack, 94, of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born on October 17, 1931, in a vibrant neighborhood of the Bronx, NY, Ronald carried the spirit of ambition, curiosity, and intellect through his long life.
Ronald was held in the highest of esteem by friends, family and colleagues alike. He forged a long and distinguished career in the aerospace industry as an electrical engineer and manager. With his keen mind, expertise, and skillful leadership, he reached the prestigious position of head of the Lockheed-Martin Baltimore Labs before his well-deserved retirement. He was erudite and well-educated, holding a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University. He severed on the board of the Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore Maryland for many years.
A great pillar of his life was his beloved wife, Felicia (Petluck) Schack, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage and a life full of love and travel. He was the loving son of the late Louis Schack and Gilda (Elison) Schack.
He is survived by his wife, Felicia, and their descendants. These include his daughter Alice (Schack) Bagwell; his son David Schack; grandchildren Alexandra, Trevor, Michael, Katherine, Andrew, Shannon, and Ryan; and eight, young great-grandchildren. He and Felicia took their extended family on many wonderful vacations including to Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and a cruise along the Rhine river. They also led summer family vacations at Long Beach Island, NJ.
Ronald enjoyed playing golf, boating, music, and watching sports. His warmth and strength of character made him the cherished anchor of a remarkable close-knit group of eight life-long friends from elementary school, serving as organizer and host for many happy get-togethers throughout the decades. He also shared a particularly deep and enduring friendship with his brother-in-law Martin Schwartz.
Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services on Sunday, November 30, 2025, 11:00 AM at Haym Salomon Memorial Park.
