ROSE K., 85, Harvey's Lake, formerly of Newtown Square, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015, The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas PA. She was born in Philadelphia PA, daughter of the late Abraham and Bessie Kashoff and was a graduate of Overbrook High School, Philadelphia. Rose had many interests including gardening, traveling the world with her husband Nat, getting involved with local politics, (making sure that everyone voted!) and swimming at the Main Line Y. She passed on her love of music, dance and musical theatre to her children. She was always ready for an adventure!
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel Boonin in 2006 and by a brother, Shep Kashoff, sisters, Ethel Leibowitz, Frances Ozer, Mary Ray, and Shirley Glasser. Surviving are her son Dr. Alan Boonin and his wife Kristin Degnan-Boonin of Harvey's Lake PA; daughter, Deborah Dillon and her husband Steven, McKean PA; and grandchildren, Ali Dillon, Daniel Dillon, and Julie Degnan. There will be a Viewing for Mrs. Boonin, Friday, May 8, from 1:30 to 2 P.M. with Services beginning at 2 P.M., at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPELS (WEST), 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall PA. The family respectfully requests that contri-butions in her memory be made to the Tyler Arboretum, 515 Painter Road, Media PA 19063.
