ROSEMOND CURSON PRICE 'BOBBY' Price was no fan of old age when she passed away on December 29, 2009 after almost a hundred years of an active and creative lifetime. While comfortable and surrounded by family Bobby missed her friends, her travels and her freedom. Independence marked her life beginning with a love of the arts, graduating from The Philadelphia School of Design for Women in 1932, now known as Moore College of Art and Design. Her degree was in Interior Decoration. Bobby married her soul mate, Beryl Price, a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania as an architect in the middle of the depression. Both became distinguished in their professional careers, whose design talents are now immortalized in a collection of their works at the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, recently the subject of a major exhibition there. Bobby led a long and fulfilling life that will be remembered for her achievements and candor. The good news is that her sister Pearl Curson Goldner is a thriving centenarian whose daughter Susan G. Schwartz and Bobby's son Peter will shortly welcome family and friends to toast a lifetime of a woman best described as "sui generis". For the convenience of their guests the memorial will be held in Philadelphia rather than at her long time residence in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
