Samuel Berman

Samuel "Chubby" Berman of Boca Raton, FL., formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024 surrounded by his family. Loving and devoted husband of 70 years to the late Anita (nee Feinsinger)Berman. Adored father of Kitty (Larry) White and Jane (Keith) Petty. Devoted brother of the late Jack Berman and Esther Mozenter. Beloved grandfather of Daniel (Sarah) Bernstein, Shawn (Michael) White, Lee (Lisa) White and Michelle (Ira) Besser. Cherished great-grandfather of Ava, Lily, Henry, Avi, Belle, Sam, Alexa, Max and Raina. Loving Uncle to nieces and nephews Mitchel (Marji), Karen (Stewart), Harry (Lisa), Jackie (Michael), Mindy, Andy (Shannon). Sam served his country honorably in WWII as a Quartermaster in the US Navy fighting in the Pacific Theater and earning a Victory Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation. Sam led a life of philanthropy and service and was a committed member of the Jewish Federations of Philadelphia and South Florida in addition to other organizations. Relatives and friends are invited to services Wed. 12:00 PM at Joseph Levine & Sons, 4737 Street Rd., Trevose, PA. Int. Montefiore Cemetery. The family will return to the Bernstein residence.
