Samuel S., December 15, 2014 of Philadelphia; son of the late Hannah and Ben; uncle of Sherri (John) McKenna, Alan Cohan and Bruce (Carol) Cohan; great uncle of Allie, Rebecca, Jim, Justin, Ian, Haley and Brandon; loving brother of the late Norman Cohan and loving partner of 59 years to the late John E. Thomas. Brother in law of Gladys Cohan. Mr. Cohan was a proud graduate from Simon Gratz in 1940, served in the Coast Guard during World War II and was the owner of Ripling Electric in Reading, PA for 14 yrs. He was the general manager of the Penn Center House in Phila. For 25 years before retiring in 2009. Relatives and friends are invited to services Thursday 12 Noon, JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Sherri and John McKenna. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
