Samuel Davis

d. November 16, 2023

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and proud member of the community. Samuel, born on May 10, 1936, shared 64 years of love and companionship with his devoted wife, Francine Davis (nee Lustgarten).

A proud Marine, Sam served his country with honor, embodying the values of dedication and courage. Following his military service, he found success first in the supermarket business and then in the real estate business, where his hard work and commitment led to a flourishing career.

Sam's legacy extends beyond professional accomplishments; he was a family man at heart. His memory will be carried by his cherished wife, Francine, his three loving daughters, Miriam (Albert), Iris (Larry), and Joy (Paul), his 7 grandchildren: Emily (Justin), Robbie (Angie), Josh, Matthew, Jake, Isabella, Michael and 3 great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Milo, and Sydney, as well as his sister Lillian (Joe) and brother Albert (Sandi) and many loving nieces and nephews. Sam leaves behind a rich tapestry of family who will forever treasure the memories created with their beloved patriarch.

Sam found happiness in traveling, fishing and cherished moments spent on his boat. His dedication to family was unwavering, and the love he shared with his wife and daughters was the cornerstone of his life. A man of faith, Sam held a strong connection to his Jewish heritage.

As we bid farewell to Samuel Davis, we celebrate a life well-lived — a life marked by service, success, and an enduring love for family. May his legacy be a source of inspiration and comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Please contact Joseph Levine and Sons for service arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Sam’s memory be made to the Samuel Davis Marine Corp Scholarship Fund (mcsf.org/davis/) or the Friends of Israel Defense Force (www.fidf.org/).
