Sandi Melrose

Sandi Melrose (nee Schwartz) of Philadelphia, PA passed at the age of 75 on May 22, 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family, shortly after returning from a long stay at the hospital. Beloved wife of Stewart Melrose; loving mother of Bonnie (Bill) Gold, Brian Melrose and Amy Melrose. Married for nearly 52 years, and delighted to be a mother, her children were her light and her joy. She loved spending time with her eldest daughter Bonnie, who lived nearby and took care of her near the end of life. She enjoyed fashion and dressing stylish and took a great deal of pride in her home. Wherever she lived, she was sure to surround herself with beautiful things that lifted her spirit. Throughout her life, she experienced and survived many challenges, health and otherwise, and she made it through with a strong will, tenacity and grit. She was the daughter of Charlotte and Hyman Schwartz and one of seven children. Her two brothers, Jerry and Irwin, preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings Allan Schwartz, Donald (Linda) Schwartz, Stanford Schwartz and Rhoda Bulkin. A small service was held graveside.
