Sandra Lee “Cissy” Plotnick (nee Janvey), May 20, 2026, of Dresher, PA. Beloved wife and partner in life, of the late William “Bill” Plotnick; devoted mother of Amy Grossman (Marc), Susan Schultz (Scott), and the late Michael Plotnick (Setsuko); loving grandmother of Rachel (Phillip), Sam, Jacob (Jena), Alison (Michael), Julia, and the late Sarah; great-grandmother of Simon, Scarlett and Stella; and sister of Pamela Janvey, and the late Timmy Silverman (Red) and Patti Budman.
Cissy was a local legend and a devoted educator for four decades. All of Dresher knew and adored her and it is still rare to go anywhere without someone knowing her. Through the generations, Cissy was a steadfast presence at Temple Sinai and a passionate advocate for its students and staff. She leaves behind a positive and lasting impact on so many lives. Cissy spoke her mind openly and never hesitated to stand firmly by her beliefs.
Cissy loved any place she went as long as she was with her family. The beach, the mountains, watching sporting events, musical concerts, dance recitals, art shows, or backyard barbecues. She loved her family and close friends wholeheartedly. Holiday dinners and family get-togethers were her greatest joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 11:00 am at Joseph Levine and Sons, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA. Interment to follow at King David Memorial Park in Bensalem, PA. The family will return to the residence of Amy and Marc Grossman on Sunday and Monday from 6:00-8:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cissy’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, or a charity of the donor's choice.
