SELMA FIELD
November 3, 2018. She was the last of her generation, died Saturday at The Quadrangle in Haverford, Pa., where she lived. She was 93. In all of her long life, her joy was her family, and her family was her joy, and she was happy to come from a large one. Sel survived her husband Lester; her parents Henry and Celia Field; her sisters Ethel Field and Marjorie Goldenberg; her brothers Morey Field and Charles Field. She leaves behind her daughters Celia Cohen and Bobbi Cohen and 3 special nephews, Samuel Weiner, Allan Goldenberg and Chuck Field. A 4th special nephew, Michael Goldenberg, died in September. Sel loved big family gatherings, walking, traveling and little dogs, especially the 2 she and Les had named Kemistree and Cha Cha and Celia's little dog Chaos. Relatives and friends are invited to Services, Thursday 1:00 P.M., JOSEPH LEVINE & SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL - WEST, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. Interment Haym Salomon Memorial Park. Charitable contributions in Sel's memory may be made to the Pennsylvania Ballet, HIAS or a charity of choice.
