Sharon I Labow

Sharon I. (nee Silver), September 17, 2026, of Warminster, PA; loving mother of Debra (Matthew) Ollikainen and Lisa (Harold) Buzgon; cherished grandmother of Rachel and Emily Jasner and Ethan Buzgon; caring sister of Marlene Ostroff. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Beatrice Silver.

Sharon grew up in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of Girls’ High, where she was a competitive athlete and an active member of many clubs. Sharon attended Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She was an elementary school teacher in the School District of Philadelphia for over 35 years. She most enjoyed teaching science to her students.

Sharon enjoyed contributing to her community by serving on many boards of directors. She was a lifetime member of ORT and Hadassah. Sharon always supported education.

Sharon had a wonderful sense of humor that kept her going. She enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, Canasta, Rummikub, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She treasured making holiday dinners.

Everyone who knew Sharon would say that she made them laugh and never held anything back. Sharon’s grandchildren were the light of her life. She always felt so lucky to have them close by.

Sharon will be remembered for her strength, determination, and wonderful sense of humor; for her warrior spirit and courageous attitude in facing numerous cancers; but most of all, for the deep love she had for her family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sharon’s memory may be made to ORT America (www.ort.org), Gilda’s Club (www. cancersupportcommunity.org) or the Susan G. Komen Foundation (www.komen.org).
