SIDNEY H., March 31, 2008, of Phila. Husband of the late Marcia (nee Cooperman), father of Linda Shecter, Gail Evans Glassman, Barbra (Paul) Lefkoe, Iris (Kevin) Borek, and Andrea (Paul) de Botton; brother of Gertrude Rothschild; also survived by 14 grandchildren. He was born in 1919 during the depression which shaped his values of hardwork and love of family. He was a graduate of Officers Candidate School and served during World War II as a 1st Lieut. He was an entrepreneur in the clothing business, who owned factories in Philadelphia, North Carolina and Florida. He was a pilot and runner, who became a marathoner in his 60's. He married the love of his life Marcia in 1954. Relatives and friends are invited to Services, Thursday 12 Noon JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family will return to the residence of Andrea and Paul de Botton. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
