STEPHEN M., Sept. 6, 2003, age 54, after a courageous battle with cancer, of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Phila. PA; beloved son of Ruth (nee Simon) Gross and Robert Gross, cherished brother of Sandra (Jack) Elias and Michael (Janet) Gross; devoted uncle to Lauren, Alex and Lyle, dear friend of Maureen Ricarrdo and Karen Baisden. Steve was the owner of bookstores in Philadelphia and New Jersey, most recently in Ocean City. "Bookstore Steve' loved the boardwalk, the Eagles, his cat Ralphie and playing poker at the casinos. We love and we'll miss you. Relatives and friends are invited to Services 1 P.M. Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 at JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, Bucks County PA. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will return to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Michael S. Gross and respectfully request that contributions in his memory be made to For The Animals, Inc., P.O. Box #323, Branford, CT 06405.
