Sydney m. Twers

TWERS SYDNEY M. Died June 25, 2021, at her home in Oreland surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, grandmother, mother, daughter, aunt, friend, neighbor and colleague. She is dearly missed by those she leaves behind, especially her husband of 34 years, William M. Twers (Shagg), and family JoAnn Urofsky (David), Jeff Urofsky (Jill) and their daughter Jessica and Carol Urofsky (Bret) and their daughter Phoebe. She was born in Philadelphia October 29, 1937 to Jesse and Yvette Moskowitz, who died while she was in high school. She was raised from then on by her grandmother and cared for by her loving extended family. She attended Rowan Elementary, Wagner Jr. High and Olney High School. After raising her children, she went to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse and enrolled at Albert Einstein Medical School of Nursing and graduated as an RN in 1979. She built a career bringing comfort to other people through her nursing practice. She enjoyed being a Red Hat and loved her mah-jong friends which included one of her lifelong friends. She was the chief cake baker for the Gecker Girls monthly birthday celebrations. Her passion was in gathering her family and friends to celebrate holidays and special occasions when she would outdo herself preparing sumptuous meals for their gatherings. She loved all kinds of animals, especially her adopted dogs Misty, Miranda and Winston. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides from Jefferson Home Care and Hospice for their devotion and care. Please remember her with a contribution to hospice, to your local no-kill animal shelter or Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation and Memorial Service Wednesday, beginning at 11 A.M. from JOSEPH LEVINE & SONS MEMORIAL CHAPEL 4737 Street Rd., Trevose, PA. Funeral Services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment is Private. www.levinefuneral.com
