Vera (Nee Stein), April 9, 2024; devoted wife of the late Sydney Berkowitz; loving mother of Mindy Rappaport, Valerie Levy (Thomas), and Joshua Berkowitz (Juliet); cherished grandmother of Tascha, Bianca, Alexis, Spencer, Allegra, and Cameron. Vera is also survived by her brother, Irving Stein. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bernice Garber and Josephine Cramer. Vera was the daughter of the late Rubin and Vera Stein and was also raised by the late Ida Stein. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services, Thursday, April 11, 12:00PM at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores Road, Frazer, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vera’s memory may be made to Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic (my.clevelandclinic.org/giving) or WomenHeart: National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease (womenheart.org/donate/). On Friday, a service, followed by Shiva, will both be held at Central Synagogue starting at 11:00AM.
